‘Province deserves its constitutional rights’
Dhanusha- Former Vice President of the Nepali Congress, Bimalendra Nidhi, has said all seven provinces need to be resourceful with devolution of power as per constitutional provisions.
Addressing a programme organized on the occasion of 81st birth anniversary of martyr Shiva Chandra Mishra at Loharpatti of Mahottari on Monday, NC leader Nidhi said as it was NC’s leadership to bring constitution, so the NC itself should take a lead to protect the provisions of constitution.
“It is wrong to say that Madhes government is weak. But, Madhes government is being enfeebled in a planned manner, which must be protested,” he argued. The country got constitution characterized by the federal democratic republic under the leadership of NC, he reminded, adding that NC inherits the inspiration of martyrs including Shiva Chandra Mishra and Durga Nand Jha in Madhes.
Similarly, the former Vice President of NC, Nidhi said Shiva Chandra Mishra was together with republican leader Durga Nand Jha in the struggle. He is an unforgettable leader who fought for the country, Nidhi remembered. Other local leaders also spoke on the occasion.
