Lumbini Province Chief Minister to go on China visit
Lumbini- Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chet Narayan Acharya, is going on a visit to China, leading a seven-member delegation, to participate in an international conference to be held in Sichuan Province from November 11-13.
A meeting of the Lumbini Province Government today approved the Chief Minister’s visit to China, said Dinesh Panthi, the provincial government spokesperson and Minister for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives.
The Chief Minister will be accompanied by Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Dhanendra Karki, Chief Secretary Mahadev Pantha and other high-level officials of the provincial government during the visit. Lumbini Province and Sichuan Province have established sisterly relations in 2076 BS with the objective of further promoting mutual cooperation and goodwill between them.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Lumbini province government and Sichuan Province for cooperation in various sectors, including agriculture, industry and tourism. Spokesperson Pantha said high-level talks will be held during the visit on implementing the development plans for the overall development of the province and for the expansion of bilateral cooperation and collaboration.
