Lamichhane’s custody extended by 10 days
Kaski- The District Court Kaski has granted permission for keeping Rabi Lamichhane, the President of Rastriya Swatantra Party, in police custody for ten more days for further investigation into his alleged involvement in the misappropriation of financial cooperatives funds.
The leader was arrested on October 18 on the cooperative funds misappropriation charges. The extension of his custody for the third time began from October 31, according to Court’s information officer, Suraj Adhikari.
Though Lamichhane’s previous custody term had ended on October 30, he was presented to the court on Tuesday as the court opened today after the holidays for Tihar festival.
A bench of court judge Chandrakanta Paudel decided to extend the custody period in regard with the Lamichhane’s case. He was presented to the court for the first time on October 20.
