Md Yasir Arafin joins as Chief Financial Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited

Kathmandu– Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited has announced the appointment of Mr. Md Yasir Arafin as Chief Financial Officer.
In his previous role, Yasir was leading the CCIB Business Finance Team in Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh. With over 15 years of experience in leading MNCs and local banks in Bangladesh, he is an expert in budgeting and forecasting, quantitative and qualitative analysis, KPI monitoring, RWA optimisation and RoTE related decisions.
Prior to this, Yasir was the Head of Business Planning and Analysis (Senior Vice President) in BRAC Bank Ltd., Dhaka, Bangladesh (2016 – 21); before which he was Senior Manager, Finance
in Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh looking after Balance Sheet and Performance Management (2010 – 16). He also has experience in BASIC Bank Ltd., Dhaka during the initial years of his career.
Yasir completed his MBA from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant from Bangladesh and Associate Chartered Certified Accountant from ACCA-UK.
