Minister Shrestha warns of stern action against maneuvering in foreign employment sector

Minister for Labour, Employment, and Social Security Krishna Kumar Shrestha has warned of taking stern actions against maneuvering in the name of foreign employment. Receiving a memorandum from office-bearers of the Unified Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Organization Nepal on Wednesday afternoon, he stressed the need for inevitable cooperation from entrepreneurs so as to make the foreign employment sector dignified, secured, and well-managed.
He asserted that the State would take stern actions against anyone involved in wrongdoings. He shared that preparation was underway to set up a separate system for investigation and action on irregularities in the foreign employment sector. The Minister also called for foreign employment entrepreneurs to support his plan to check irregularities propping up in the foreign employment sector, establish a new system and make this sector dignified and well-managed. Secretary at the ministry, Ek Narayan Aryal said challenges that emerged in the foreign employment sector could be averted through coordinated efforts from all sides. He shared that the government has mooted a plan to establish foreign employment policy in order to check anomalies and unlawful activities being carried out in course of foreign employment
