Standard Chartered donates Medical Equipment

Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited (SCBNL) contributed a ventilator, 20 oxygen concentrators, 10,000 N95 surgical masks and 2000 gloves to Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) to support the Government’s relief activities against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The medical and health equipment were handed over by Anirvan Ghosh Dastidar, CEO of SCBNL to Dr.Roshan Pokharel, Chief Specialist on behalf of MoHP, according to a press release issued by teh bank.

At the handover event, Mr Dastidar stated “Our commitment to Nepal continues as we help our communities cope with the pandemic.

We are thankful to our international network which has come together enabling us to make a difference in countries where contributions are most needed” From the Bank, Pranu Singh, Head Corporate Affairs Brand and Marketing, Asim Thebe, Health & Safety Coordinator and Alka Pant, Manager Corporate Affairs were also present at the event.

SCBNL had earlier contributed NPR 5.75 crore through various projects for COVID-19 relief during the first wave in Nepal.
