425 individuals test positive for coronavirus in past 24 hours

A total of 425 individuals tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. Of them, 375 are men and 50 are women.
With this, the number of coronavirus infected people in the country reached 5,760 including 436.
In a regular press meet of the Ministry, Spokesperson at the Ministry Dr Jageshwor Gautam shared that 974 coronavirus infected people have returned home after recovery.
Six people have been discharged today itself. COVID-19 infection has been found for the first time in Rukum (East) and the coronavirus infection has reached in 73 districts.
According to the Ministry, one more person lost his life due to COVID-19. He is 36-year-old person of Dhurkot Rural Municipality in Gulmi district. He was tested positive for the virus in Rupandehi district on May 25. Returned from India, he was also a cancer patient. The Ministry has confirmed the death of 19 people from coronavirus so far.
Similarly, PCR test of 5,689 people was carried out in the last 24 hours. A total of 133,377 people underwent PCR test so far while 210,721 people underwent RDT test. Likewise, 4,767 people are in isolation.
The Ministry said its attention has been drawn towards the rumor that an individual entering one district from another has to undergo coronavirus test.
Spokesperson Gautam said, “The Ministry requests the concerned health workers and labs not to carry out such type of tests as it has not been mentioned at Health Directives of the Ministry.”
Meanwhile, an arrangement has been made to give private labs, acquired permission from the Ministry to carry out PCR test after completing necessary process.
