Communications Ministry directs to execute work on time

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has directed its subordinate bodies to execute works on time.
At today meeting on ‘clearance of arrears’ in Singh Durbar, the ministry’s secretary Mahendra Man Gurung directed chief and representatives of its subordinate bodies to increase the use of capital expenditure.
Saying failure to spend capital on time means underperformance, he also directed deployment of adequate workforce and work monitoring. “Action against the responsible person would be taken if work remained incomplete on time,” he said.
He also directed timely completion of development projects in the context when the second quarter of the current fiscal year of 2018/19 is coming to an end.
The meeting was attended also by General Manager of Rastriya Samachar Samiti Opendra Sharma, Chairperson of Gorkhapatra Corporation Krishna Murari Bhandari and Chairperson of Nepal Television Mahendra Bista.
