‘Need of evaluating returns from ADB investment’

Hetauda- Province 3 chief minister Dormani Poudel has suggested the evaluation of returns in the areas of investment made by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Speaking at a programme organized by the ADB here today, he was of the view that time had come to see the areas of investment covered by the programmes of ADB which, according to him, had started investing in Nepal many years back and the criteria of investment. He took a time to give his views that ADB investment areas should be changed and productive sectors be focussed.
Stating that many more things should be taken to the people, the chief minister highlighted the need of ADB programmes capable of supporting the poverty alleviation efforts. “The province government wants development with prosperity.”
On the occasion, he shared the target of nine per cent economic growth rate in the province, claiming that the province was rich from every aspect including resources.
Province minister for economic affairs and planning Kailash Dhungel; minister for industry, tourism and environment Arun Nepal; minister for land management, agriculture and cooperatives Dawa Dorje Lama and speaker Sanu Kumar Shrestha and local governments chiefs were among those present in the programme.
