‘Govt working as per people’s expectations’

Bhaktapur-Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of Province No. 3 Shalikram Jammakattel has said that the government was working as per the people’s expectations. Addressing the 11th establishment day and felicitation programme of Shankhadhar Cooperatives in Bhaktapur on Saturday, Jammakattel rather claimed that negative comments about the government appearing in some media outlets and social sites were untrue.
“Some negative issues have appeared about the government is some media outlets and social sites. Those are untrue. The government is doing its best and exemplary works and such issues should be brought to the fore,” he said.
Likewise, he said that the province government was drafting laws to bring the cooperatives on board the campaign of economic prosperity and stressed the need for utilizing the capital of cooperatives in the productive sector.
During the programme, province assembly lawmakers Dr. Rajendra Man Shrestha and Pratima Shrestha, Mayor of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality Madan Kumar Shrestha, Deputy Mayor Anjanadevi Madhikarmi and others expressed their opinions on citizens’ skills and prosperity.
Cooperative campaigner Kailash Bhakta Pradhananga, culture expert Hari Bahadur Kaiti Shrestha and Hirakaji Lama Shrestha and karate player Prem Nath Jagulu Shrestha were honored for their contributions to the respective fields.
