Two more Nepalis die due to consumption of toxic liquor in Malaysia

Two more Nepalis have died due to the consumption of poisonous liquor in Malaysia.
The deceased are Sher Bahadur Thakuri of Shankarpur-5, Sarlahi district and Sukuwal Ghising, whose address is not ascertained yet, the Embassy of Nepal in Kuala Lumpur stated on Monday.
According to the Embassy, Ghising died at local Sungai Buloch Hospital while Thakuri passed away at the Tonkau Jafar Sheremban Hospital, in course of treatment.
With the latest two deaths, the number of Nepalis dying due to the consumption of toxic liquor in Selangor state and Kuala Lumpur area in Malaysia has reached nine.
Bhim Bahadur Ghale of Dhading, Tam Kumar Yadav of Rupandehi, Bishal Budhathoki of Dadeldhura, Sanjaya Uraw of Sunsari, Bal Bahadur Kulung of Ilam, Aitasingh Gole of Sarlahi and Durga Singh Rana of Nawalparasi had died due to the same cause before this, the Embassy stated in a statement.
Seventeen Nepalis working in Malaysia had been seriously taken ill due to the consumption of poisonous liquor. Out of them, seven have returned to work after treatment at various hospitals. The condition of three out of 10 remaining persons is said to be critical, according to the Embassy.
