Sales Summit 2018 concludes

With a note that sales professionals need to be dynamic to cope up in competitive market, Sales Summit 2018 – an annual conference of Growth Leadership Academy – concluded its third edition on Saturday.
“The market has shifted its paradigm from early days,” said Chairman of Chaudhary Group Dr. Binod Chaudhary inaugurating the summit. “To sell today if you have right product you need not to have sales professional to reach out the whole world as we have social media and a huge eruption of marketing tools.”
He also stated that one need to have value addition proposition to sell the product or services to set apart from the rest.
He spoke about the fundamentals of sales such as providing value addition to customers, having right strategic thinking, right direction to reach out the customers and giving them the sense of confidence. According to him, the channel sales face tougher competition with online sales as the selling in digital platform gives 40 percent cost advantage and one needs to seriously think about how to mitigate the cost of channels.
There are altogether 270 sales professionals from various sectors like FMCG, manufacturing, banking and financial institutions, automobiles, real estate, IT, among others took part in the summit.
The keynote speaker Anand Munshi, sales motional trainer from India, on the occasion, said, “One needs to live a meaningful life and sort the priorities to upgrade in life.” He delivered his session on ‘Innovative Sales Mindset: The Unbeatable Competitive Edge. Likewise, Pratap Rawal, Director, Shangrila Spirits conducted a session on ‘Remain relevant’ and Allen Bailochhan Tuladhar, CEO of Microsoft Unlimited delivered his speech on ‘Selling in digital era’.
There was a panel discussion on a topic ‘Paradigm shift in selling’ with panelists Raveena Desraj Shrestha, Asstanat Deputy CEO; Prabir Nag, Chief Marketing Officer, Jawalakhel Group of Industries and Mahesh Swar, Assistant General Manager, Kantipur Publications where panelists discussed how the market is shifting its paradigm with the innovation and technology. The session was moderated by Govinda Gyawali, Head-Brand and Marketing, NMB Bank for moderating the session.
