Karobar photo journalist Poornima successfully scales Mt Everest

Karobar Photo journalist Poornima Shrestha has successfully scaled the world’s highest peak Mt Everest on Saturday. 
Shrestha reached atop the highest summit at 8.10 am on Saturday morning, shared Spokesperson of Photo Journalists’ (PJ) Club, Deepak Shrestha. 
The PJ Club has also claimed that Shrestha has become the first-ever Nepali photo journalist to reach atop the highest peak of the world. Shrestha is affiliated with the Karobar National economic Daily newspaper, the first economic daily newspaper of Nepal.  
Earlier, photo journalist Shrestha, 28, a local of Arughat of Gorkha had scaled the Mount Manaslu with a height of 8,163 metres on 26 September 2017. 
In course of her mountaineering, Shrestha had undertaken a solo photo exhibition ‘Muskurairaheka Nepali Mahilaharu (Smiling Nepali Women) from Base Camp to the Top of the Everest. 
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Karobar National Economic daily, her collegues in Karobar had provided support to Shrestha to exhibit the photographs so as to promote culture and tourism of the country. She has been active as a photo journalist for the past five years.
