Khalti app crosses 50,000 downloads on Google Play

Khalti Digital Wallet, an Android app has crossed 50,000 downloads on Google Play Store, according to a press note.
Khalti Digital Wallet was introduced in Nepali market on January 26, 2017. Getting 50,000 app downloads within a year of launching is an overwhelming experience for the young and vibrant Khalti team, Manish Modi, Managing Director of Khalti Digital Wallet said, adding that they are overwhelmed with the 50,000 downloads mark and such a wonderful support from the users. “Reaching this milestone is a testimony to the efforts of the incredible team at Khalti.”In this short span of one year, Khalti has emerged as one of the most preferred mobile payment solutions in Nepal, allowing users to pay for mobile balance top up, pay electricity/water bills, DTH and internet bills, movie tickets, airline ticketing and more.
On October 12 last year, Khalti was also declared the winner of GBG Storytelling Contest, a global startup competition. We are proud to be recognized globally, and contributing locally.
At a time when cashless transactions are on the rise all across the globe, Nepal is also moving in the same direction. Now, people across nooks and corners of the nation, both urban as well as rural villages use Khalti.
