Maoist Centre ministers to resign in mass on Friday

According to Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, the party has decided to leave the government. They continue their tenure for nearly 4 months without portfolio after Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba sacked them for forming an alliance with CPN-UML for the election targeting the party unification.
The ministers are preparing to submit their resignation letter to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
The ministers had not resigned even after being stripped of portfolios saying it would send a negative message to quit the government at a time when the country was preparing for elections. “Now when the elections are over and the date for National Assembly election has been fixed, we decided to quit the government,” said Shahi.
