Prachanda calls for making country richest and developed
The CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ today stressed the need for making the country known to the world as the richest and developed country through an economic revolution.
He also underscored the need for driving the country towards development and prosperity as he said struggles for political change has been completed with the promulgation of the new constitution and conclusion of all three levels of elections, parliament, provincial and local levels.
He was inaugurating the 18th annual general assembly of the Chitwan Industry Association in the district.
“If we fail to speed up development even at present, not only a single political party, or a single leader will fail, but the entire country. Until then, the country will be placed into more difficult situation,” he said.
Saying there is enough future possibility for tri-country partnership, he said, “We should strive to give a sense of a new era to the entire Nepali people by bringing out development activities within the next five years.”
He said the economic development of the whole country depends on how Chitwan plays a role in its economic development, while saying the country could become a hub for economy.
Also at the event, member of parliament Krishna Bhakta Pokharel, provincial assembly member Bijaya Subedi, Vice President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industry Krishna Prasad Adhikari, executive chairperson of the industrial area management committee Nanda Kishor Basnet, Nepali Congress, Chitwan President Jit Narayan Shrestha, the Association’s senior Vice President Bhesh Raj Duwadi and poultry entrepreneur Guna Chandra Bista among others spoke.
