Footwear exhibition from December 29
The Footwear Manufacturers’ Association Nepal (FMAN) is organizing an exhibition-cum-sale of footwear and leather goods in Kathmandu from December 29.
There will be 135 stalls in the fair that will run until January 4, informed the Association Chair Rabin Kumar Shrestha. The exhibition has been organized to promote domestic footwear and leather goods industry, he said, adding that there are 1,501 footwear industries under operation in Nepal, which provide direct employment to around 50,000 people. “The total annual capacity of the industries is to produce 43.9 million pairs of footwear.”
