Secretary killed in car crash

A government secretary died after a jeep he was travelling in plunged down into the Trishuli River in Dhading on Saturday morning.
Local Police confirmed that the dead body of the secretary of the Ministry of Irrigation Ramananda Yadav was recovered from the crash site after the rescue operation.
"We recovered the dead body of secretary Yadav, and two others -- his son and a girl -- travelling along with Yadav are still missing," the police said.
Yadav, his son Sanjay Yadav and an adolescent girl had gone missing after the jeep en route to the capital of Kathmandu from Narayangadh veered off the Prithvi Highway at Salanghat of Dhading. The police have rescued the injured jeep driver from the crash site and he is been under treatment.
