The World Bank is going to help develop Buddhist Circuit. The World Bank office in India organizing a meeting in New Delhi has brought Buddhist tourism stakeholders, including hoteliers and tour operators, to discuss ideas for promotion of Buddhist sites in Nepal, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka as an integrated Buddhist Circuits destination.

The Energy Ministry has started homework to establish Nepal Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), after getting a green signal from the Finance Ministry.Finance Ministry gave an approval allowing the Energy Ministry to seek further counsel from other ministries prior to the formation of NERC, according to a source at the ministry.

China has donated over 32,000 solar power generating systems to Nepal to enhance its domestic capacity and to provide electricity to communities that have been without power since the 2015 earthquake.The donated items included 32,000 sets of household solar power generation systems and 325 sets of solar power generation systems.

China Three Gorges International Corporation could be the second Chinese firm to return after China’s Gezhouba Group's agreement being scrapped by the government claiming that the deal is not transparent.

The Nepal Army (NA) is planning to prepare the detailed project report (DPR) of the Kathmandu-Terai Madhes expressway on its own. At a press meet organized by the NA at its headquarters to share information about the progress so far on the project implementation on Tuesday, project deputy chief brigadier general Surya Prasad Khanal said that the NA, though earlier was planning to buy the DPR from Indian company IL&FS, now is preparing the DPR on its own.
